WELDING ENGINEER

State the minimum educational, qualifications and experience that are required to perform the job competently.

Qualification

B.Sc. in metallurgical/materials engineering, or welding/materials engineering technology with additional experience.

Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years welding related experience, including welding metallurgy experience, in a construction, fabrication, or repair facility is required, Advanced knowledge of the weldability of ASME P-No. 1, 3, 4, 5A, and 8 base metals is required, including selecting the welding process, filler metals, heat treatment, and post-welding NDE; although weldability knowledge of P-No. 6 and 10H would be an asset.
  • Advanced knowledge of welding inspection and related NDE methods (MT, PT, UT, and RT), including ASME Sec. V, are required.
  • Code experience must include ASME Section V, VIII-1, IX, B31.3, AWS D1.1 or CSA W59 and W47.1, CSA B51; other related codes would be an advantage (e.g., ASME Sec. I, B31.1, API 650, API 1104 or CSA Z662).

MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT

JOB PURPOSE

The purpose of the job is to oversee the proper costing and evaluation of projects, prepare month end reports, budgets, and forecasts.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
  • Project Management.
  • Prepare month end reports.
  • Prepare annual budget.
  • Prepare monthly forecasts with Ops team and analyse Capital Budgeting.

REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
  • The candidate must be in possession of a Matric (Grade 12)
  • A relevant tertiary qualification or relevant NQF Level 6 Bachelors Degree
  • CIMA qualification will be advantageous

DOCUMENT CONTOLLER

JOB PURPOSE

Ensure Document Management process is adequately managed across all Projects, rigorously, maintaining control and traceability of the documentation from Project initiation throughout completion.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
  • Registration, issue and distribution of technical documentation to internal and external parties, ensuring timely turnaround of documentation
  • Engage in preparing project documents and related reports
  • Reviews site schedules and booking records to plan and schedule work activitiest
  • Day to day uploading and downloading of correspondence, drawings, transmittals and other documents.

EXPEDITOR

JOB PURPOSE

To manage the expediting of all material requirements for the business.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
  • Determine supply needs through technical details and schedules
  • Manage the orders of material and equipment to meet project requirements
  • Coordinate the delivery of supplies according to priorities and specifications
  • Resolve problems to speed up delivery of orders

ELECTRICIAN

JOB PURPOSE

To support the business in executing electrical, low / medium voltage tasks, including troubleshooting of problems.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
  • Faults findings/ Repairs – Investigate faults on control circuits & main’s power
  • Construction and Installation – installation of low voltage switch gear such as lighting, plugs and motor control gear as per Sans 10142-1
  • Interpret and read electrical wiring and distribution drawings
  • Must be in a physical fit condition, required to work in all weather conditions
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
  • The candidate must be in possession of a Matric (Grade 12)
  • Must be Trade tested/ National Diploma/ Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • The candidate must be able to deal with overhead cranes, sub stations and compressors (low and medium voltage)
  • 4-5 years’ experience in electrical medium and heavy voltage
  • Must have the knowledge of electrical principles
  • Relevant knowledge in AC/ DC theory and practical application
  • Wireman’s licence
Competencies
